CheckmateWager allows players to enter chess matches and tournaments using digital coins. Coins may be purchased, won, and withdrawn once verification is complete. Coins are **not** real-world currency while inside the platform.
Coins act as competition entry tokens. A 10% house rake may be applied to tournament prize pools when Late Registration expires.
Purchased coins and winnings are securely stored using NOWPayments crypto custody services. Fraud checks and blockchain confirmations may delay withdrawals.
Use of chess engines, bots, coaching, or any outside assistance is strictly prohibited during online play. We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate fair play or attempt fraud.
All transactions are handled by third-party payment providers (e.g., NOWPayments). CheckmateWager does not store credit card information or private wallet keys.
All coin purchases are final. Refunds will not be issued for:
• Used or unused coins
• Lost matches
• Tournament entry fees
Failure to complete a match due to network issues or device problems may result in a recorded loss. Players are responsible for maintaining a stable connection.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate rules, abuse systems, or disrupt gameplay integrity. Coins may be confiscated in cases of confirmed fraud.
